Terms of Service

Important — academic responsibility. Refly finds real, existing sources and uses AI to check that a source supports each claim, but AI can make mistakes. You remain responsible for reviewing every citation for accuracy and relevance before submitting or publishing your work. Refly is a productivity tool, not a substitute for your own scholarly judgment, and it does not provide medical, legal, or professional advice.

2. Your account

• Provide accurate information and keep your password confidential.
• An account is for a single person; do not share credentials.
• You are responsible for activity under your account.

3. Acceptable use

• Do not use Refly for unlawful purposes or to infringe others’ rights.
• Do not attempt to overload, disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the service.
• Do not resell or redistribute the service without our written permission.

4. Plans, billing and quotas

• Free and paid plans have monthly usage limits (e.g. number of automatic-citation runs) shown in the app.
• Paid subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time; access continues to the end of the paid period.
• We may change prices or limits with reasonable prior notice.

5. Refunds

If something isn’t working as described, contact us at support@reflyapp.com within 14 days of a charge and we will work with you in good faith to resolve it.

6. Intellectual property

You own the content you add (references, notes, manuscripts). We own the Refly software and brand. Bibliographic metadata retrieved from PubMed, CrossRef and similar sources remains subject to those providers’ terms.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, including accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted availability.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Refly is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for loss of data or academic outcomes arising from use of the service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid in the 12 months before the claim.

9. Termination

You may stop using Refly and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates (Emirate of Dubai), without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
